Benefitting from a pretty landscaped garden and ideal for enjoying peaceful countryside setting, only 4 miles from Cornwall’s north coast.

With views over the glorious countryside these pet-friendly holiday cottages are situated just 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast. Buttercups Barn (ref: THF) and Campion Cottage (ref: THG) are converted barns adjoining one another; each enjoys its own pretty landscaped garden to the front which is an ideal place for morning coffee or al fresco dining taking in the sights and sounds of this peaceful countryside setting. They both have exposed beams and stonework and are light and airy and well presented. St Teath is about 1 mile with a pub and shops, and the larger village of Camelford is about 3 miles. Within a few miles are the sandy surfing beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay and the dramatic scenery of Boscastle and Tintagel, with its mystical ruined castle. It is a short drive from Port Isaac, a pretty harbour village where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge and the harbour town of Padstow with its array of shops, restaurants and bars, including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant. Just across from Padstow is Rock which is great for water sports, and Bodmin Moor is excellent for walking and horse riding. Cycle hire available locally. Shops and pub 1 mile.

Cosy beamed living/dining room with electric ‘coal-effect’ fire, rug on oak floor, French doors to garden and compact farmhouse-style kitchen area with slate flagstone floor. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and French doors to garden. Walk-in shower room with toilet.

Firstly the hosts, Connie & Tim. could not be more helpful. They are lovely people and make you feel very welcome. They even left a few essentials for us and the dogs which was nice. The location is great but the roads to and from are narrow so be aware of this. But there is easy access to the main road which leads to all places such as Padstow, Bude, etc. The cottage is small but perfect for a couple. Lovely views from the bedroom and living area. There is also a huge field to the front which is perfect for the dogs. My only negative comments would be the lack of an oven (there is a combi microwave and hob) as one evening we fancied something we couldn't make. But it is a minor gripe. Also the £60.00 per dog charge as they don't make any mess or increase the cost in any way. The only other issue for me was the Wi-fi. This cannot be helped because of the location but I need it for work when I am away. It was fine for most of the time but if you need a fast connection you will struggle. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely go back again.
