The Beach House is situated just 300m away from the beach and has been lovingly renovated to a high standard. Perfect for a couple, it is set all on one level with luxurious real wood flooring throughout. It has a spacious feel, with its vaulted ceiling in the open plan living space and French doors opening onto a patio and nautical themed garden and summerhouse which has a bistro set, sink and kettle for you to enjoy an afternoon tea in the late sunshine or just relax and unwind. The cosy master bedroom is located to the front of the house with the bathroom next door which comprises a shower, toilet and modern sink with a mirror over that displays the time! Nearby there is a convenience store and local pub, along with Italian and Chinese restaurants.
Holland-on-Sea, located just 2 miles from Clacton-on-Sea, is a great place to enjoy coastal walks along the coarse sand. Dogs are not allowed onto the beach between 1st May and the 30th September, but there is plenty of promenade to walk along and take a rest at the many benches looking out to sea. Why not visit the neighbouring town of Walton-on-the-Naze and dig for sharks teeth or fossils on the beach. You could always take a step back in time to the uncommercialised seaside town of Frinton-on-Sea, with its wide, white sandy beach perfect for building sand castles or enjoying a stroll along the promenade with its old fashioned beach huts. Jaywick Martello Tower is located south of Clacton-on-Sea and was built in 1809 to protect the coastline from French invasion. You can visit the tower to see the living history experience, art exhibitions and live music. Beach 300 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

All on the ground floor.

Second visit here nowhere as clean as our first visit. Lacking on crockery and cooking utensils when stopping for a week with no dishwasher 3 mugs and plates not enough Felt I wash washing up all the time. Nuisance having 2 single duvets on bed kept slipping around making the bed very hot. A king size one would be better. Lounge furniture a bit better but still needs improving. We remembered from last time we stayed and took a comfortable chair with us. Garden beautiful.

This is the best cottage that we have ever stayed at. It has been prepared to a very high standard. They owners had thought of everything to make our stay very enjoyable. Every thing you would ever need is in the kitchen. Plenty of towels and bits and pieces. The garden is absolutely wonderful our little dog loved it. The only downside of it that the furniture in the lounge could be more comfortable as we are both of the older generation we found it very hard to get out of the armchair and the settee was far too hard. But apart from that it did not spoil our stay and would recommend.
