An ideal retreat surrounded by stunning scenery, ideal for walking and exploring the Cotswolds. Full of delightful cafés, shops and even a Michelin starred restaurant.

The Bolt Hole has been refurbished in 2019 to a high standard and is a charming, characterful, mid-terraced holiday cottage located in the centre of the ancient Saxon town of Winchcombe. For your comfort, the owner has provided Egyptian cotton towels and 300+ threadcount cotton sheets. Midway between Broadway and Cheltenham, it is the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The name Winchcombe means ’valley with a bend’, and today the town still retains streets which curve gracefully along the ’combe’. The inns, restaurants, tea rooms and shops set among Winchcombe’s three main streets, are full of the character of times past. There is even a Michelin starred restaurant to enjoy just a few steps away. Stroll through the historic market town, and a few minutes walk takes you to the famous Sudeley Castle with its beautiful gardens, now one of the premier tourist attractions in the north Cotswolds, or ramble in stunning, rolling hills including the popular Cotswolds Way. The towns of Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden are within easy reach, while Regency Cheltenham is just 8 miles away. The famous Cheltenham racecourse at Prestbury Park is a big attraction for National Hunt fans, and the Prescott Hill climb course holds motoring events at various times throughout the year. Shops, pubs and restaurants 250 yards.
