If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday for two, then look no further. The Bolthole is situated on the owners’ small holding, where you will be sure to spot rare breed sheep and hens right outside the door. This detached property oozes a homely ambiance, and has been decorated with attention to detail, with a welcome pack waiting for you upon your arrival. This wonderful, single-storey cottage is full of character and is adorned with British and Yorkshire made furnishings, including a luxurious 7ft hand-made bed. Speaking of luxuries, the open plan living space boasts a 40” Smart TV as well as a warming wood burner, making it the perfect place for spending time with your loved one.
Lying peacefully in the village of Tibthorpe, The Bolthole is ideal for nature lovers to make the most of the rolling hills of The Wolds. With many country walks and cycle routes available from the door, you will be spoilt for choice. The local area once played inspiration to artist David Hockney, and you can now follow the Hockney Trail and see some of his most famous pieces come to life. The surrounding area offers an abundance of market towns, country houses and stately homes with their wonderful gardens which are open to the public. The magnificent Lavender Gardens have even won awards for the most inspiring gardens in Yorkshire! If you’re looking for a change of scenery, the Heritage Coast is within driving distance, and makes for a fantastic day out.
Back at The Bolthole, cook up a treat on the BBQ and enjoy some al fresco dining on the patio. Alternatively, on colder nights, venture inside and turn on the underfloor heating and make the most of all the comforts on offer at The Bolthole.

The owners go the extra mile to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay in this lovely cottage. It is immaculately clean, extremely well stocked even down to spare toothbrushes, toothpaste and elastoplasts, and the welcome hamper is the most impressive we have seen - the Yorkshire gin and tonic was most welcome! The seven foot square bed would even impress American visitors, it was the most comfortable bed we have slept in. Beverley on market day and Malton are well worth a visit - lots of lovely places to eat or just to have a relaxing coffee.
