Unwind in luxury in this beautiful detached village chapel, surrounded by green Worcestershire countryside.

Unwind in luxury in this beautiful detached village chapel, surrounded by green Worcestershire countryside.

This former village Chapel has been lovingly restored into a luxurious detached cosy holiday home, set within the heart and tranquillity of rural Worcestershire. This is the perfect getaway for couples, families and friends to relax and unwind in the stunning peaceful surroundings of the Severn Valley. With a wood burner to cosy up in front of in the winter and a beautiful large garden to enjoy al fresco dining or a glass of vino during the warmer weather, this is a lovely place to stay all year round. The property is fully enclosed and accessed by automatic gates so it’s ideal for children. Explore the beautiful countryside on foot or by bike using the many footpaths and country roads which run through the quiet hamlet of Lineholt and you will also find fishing nearby. Ombersley village is recommended to visit and only 3 miles away with its historic black and white houses, and a butcher, fishmonger, deli and coffee shop all under one roof - their breakfasts and afternoon teas are highly recommended. The village has a further choice of three village pubs and a restaurant for that special occasion. Friendly Ombersley Golf Club is only half a mile away with great practice facilities and you can use the all day restaurant open from early to late evening at anytime, even if you don’t play golf. Nearby is Little Owl Farm Park, which is within easy walking distance and where you can pet the farm animals, and West Midlands Safari Park is 8 miles away. The Georgian riverside town of Bewdley is 8 miles away; Kidderminster, the starting point of the world famous Severn Valley Railway is just over 8 miles away. Stourport-on-Severn is just over 4 miles away with shops, bars and restaurants. The lively cathedral city of Worcester is just over 8 miles and certainly worth a visit, whilst the Malvern Hills, a must for walkers, and the quintessential English Cotswolds with many villages to explore, are all within easy reach. Shop 1½ miles, pub 1 mile and restaurants 3 miles.

Very highly recommended. Local amenities and location are, of course, a matter of taste. If you want something like Blackpool or Las Vegas then of course this won't be for you. We were very happy and had a very good week. The cottage is wonderfully well thought out in terms of convenience and comfort, and the style in which it has been furnished was, to us, just right - nothing fussy or cluttered but with a homely and rather stylish touch. If the weather is good the patio is delightful for sitting out. Rabbits appear on the lawn beyond in the evening, unobtrusively but charmingly. Our bed was very comfortable - what a difference that makes. My wife is already missing the ample sofas in the main room. Definitely a thumbs-up for this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cottage. The location was ideal - a quiet, rural setting but conveniently close to a lot of places suitable for family days out. We particularly enjoyed the garden space, as the fantastic weather meant we could play games and dine outside every day. The owners, who live next door, were friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage, converted to a very high standard and well equipped and comfortable. The double bedroom upstairs is rather cramped for a large 6 footer + but he managed! Would have been very cosy for two people (so we also used the single room). I think it may be very warm up there in a hot summer as the velux window cannot open fully. Wonderful walks from the Chapel. Our recommendation would be to have 4 coat hooks behind the front door ( which would require a little re-organization by the owners) but there is nowhere for wet coats apart from over the bannisters and stair rail.
