Our family of 4 (mum, dad, two teenage girls), plus dog, had a great stay at The Coach House. This property is small but perfect. It is immaculately clean, great new ensuite showers and bathrooms, and the kitchen is one of the best equipped we have ever stayed in. By that I mean plenty of good quality pans, plates, graters etc. Also supplied with plenty of dishwasher tablets (!), oil, herbs, spices, salt and pepper mill, and tupperware for picnics etc. Welcome pack of eggs, bread, bacon, sausage from the local butcher, and bottle of prosecco. Our dog was also warmly welcomed, with a towel, dog biscuits, drinking/feeding bowls all supplied for her. There are good details of where to go on hand, including walks in the local Gelt Forest, which is close by and is a gorgeous ancient woodland. Location close to Hadrians Wall, Carlisle races, and plenty of good pubs and cafes. We loved the Duke at Castle Carrock and the Bite cafe. Additionally the local taxi firm are efficient and cheap. We could not find any fault in this property and highly recommend it.
