A comfortable and welcoming holiday home with a wood burner situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Delightful former blacksmith’s forge dating back to the 18th century, featuring the original beams, a canopied open fire, a Victorian antique bed and a wrought-iron spiral staircase. Close to the owners’ home, it stands within its own garden down a country lane, within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Local walking books are provided to help explore the surrounding area and the nearby Malvern Hills. The Three Counties Showground is 5 minutes away and there is also easy access to Malvern itself, Upton on Severn, Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, Tewkesbury and Worcester. It is a short walk to the village green, shops and pub. There are many festivals and tourist attractions held locally throughout the year, but none near enough to spoil the tranquillity of the holiday cottage. Shops ½ mile.

Nice comfortable cottage. Spiral staircase may not be to everyone's liking but added to the quirkiness of the cottage. Log fire was very enjoyable and we were made welcome by the owners who lived next door. Unfortunately situated only a few miles from the flooded River Severn so immediate area was not ideal for walking on this occasion but alternative walking in the Malvern Hills was ok.

We were lucky enough to have lovely sunny weather to visit the Malvern Hills. The Forge was very close for this purpose. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Our dog had a secure garden which is important to us. We had been to the Forge twice before quite a while ago and we do recommend it.
