The old Diary is a very good location for exploring Derbyshire. The cottage was comfortable and warm, as well as nicely decorated. Loved the having the bathrobes and the owners were helpful. There is a nice garden with a view for guests and some walks nearby.

Our second visit to The Old Dairy absolutely excellent I could not praise it enough. Owners so accommodating and friendly. The cottage is equipped with everything you might need and the welcome pack much appreciated. Comprising of milk and cake for a nice cup of tea after your journey and a nice bottle of wine for the evening.

The property was very suitable for us. It is not easy to find exact requirements for elderly people but this was very good. We had a totally wet week, as did most of the UK, but we found places to visit. We were a little surprised that the property was further out of the town than first thought. Ignore Google Maps if you are visiting this area! The whole farm and surrounding views are excellent , a pity we couldn’t sit out in the garden because of the weather. We feel we had a good holiday.

This is the second time that we went to this cottage as we were so impressed with it. The welcome was as good as before especially considering that a family member was in hospital and very ill. Every detail has been covered and the glorious weather was just the icing on the cake.
