The house itself is well presented, but when you start to look a little closer you notice that it wasnt 100% clean. For us the location was too crowded (albeit that the house was set at the end of the development). The pictures on the website don't show you the close proximity of the other houses. The pool was fantastic, a definite hit, but you dont get access to the onsite spa (with indoor pool) and day passes cannot be bought. The owner had arranged for day passes to be purchased at the local hotel but this was a 5 min drive away and not as accessible as the spa onsite. The restaurant served tasty food but the service and length of wait was unacceptable. We waited over an hour for our dinner (not good with a hungry 9 year old!) Several other guests commented that they had had long waits with one person waiting 45 mins for a gin and tonic! I do appreciate, however, that this is not under the control of the cottage owners. If you wanted to be out on the lake every day then this cottage would definately meet all your needs and the surroundings were very beautiful.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. I am really sorry to hear that you felt the property was not 100% clean. We pride ourselves on having a great property team and have always received fantastic reviews. I am sorry to hear your felt the complex was crowded. I chose this house in particular as it is one of only a few that is tucked away from the main complex, with its own garden and no passing traffic. It also takes advantage of views over one of the many lakes. With regard to the Spa passes, I can understand that it is frustrating to not have access to the Spa. I have chosen not to purchase the spa pack as an owner, for two reasons: One is that it would significantly increase the cost to rent the property and two, during the summer months it is exceptionally busy, especially on a wet day when the indoor pool becomes overcrowded. We have found that the off-site spa offers a much more relaxing experience albeit it is a 5 minute drive away. With regard to the experience you had in the restaurant, this is really not acceptable and I am really sorry that you had such poor service, I will pass on your comments to the Restaurant Manager as they were obviously understaffed on that day.
