The Retreat is located in a quiet residential area in Falmouth, just a short walk away from the bustling town centre and beaches. It is an ideal choice for couples searching for both a romantic bolthole and an ideally-situated base from which to explore all that Falmouth has to offer. Semi-detached to the owners’ main home, The Retreat has benefits from beautiful views and recently been renovated and refurbished to a high specification.
The rear garden is a glorious suntrap – landscaped and adorned with Mediterranean flora, it boasts the feel of a far flung destination. Guests have exclusive use of The Retreat’s patio, perfect for al fresco summer dining, and a pebble ‘beach’, complete with two comfortable rattan sun loungers which are ideal for lounging poolside. (Please note: The rest of the garden and its furniture is exclusively for the owners’ use). When you need to cool off, the owners are pleased to offer guests the complimentary use of their private pool – a real advantage when the Cornish beaches are packed. For guests seeking respite from the sun, retreat to the patio and unwind the awning or head to The Retreat’s own courtyard at the front of the property.
When you’re relaxed and ready to explore, Falmouth, a vibrant seaside town steeped in maritime history, is a very walkable destination from The Retreat. ’The Moor’ in Falmouth town is 3/4 mile away - from here, take a boat trip from the Prince of Wales Pier around the stunning Carrick Roads or visit the quaint town of St Mawes and its castle, on the Roseland Peninsula.
