The comfortable sofas offer a place to cosy down into on an evening and just sit with your thoughts for a while. Grab a game from the small collection, thoughtfully left for you by the owner, and battle with your loved ones for the night.
When you retreat to the master bedroom, you will be met by a luxurious kingsize Tempur cloud luxury bed, where your body just sinks into the mattress and you can enjoy the best night’s sleep you’ve had in months. With a further single Tempur electric bed, this property holds little luxuries that will keep you wanting more. A third bedroom with double bed provides idyllic space for friends exploring this beautiful area together.
The enclosed garden provides an idyllic space to sit out in a morning and watch the sun come up over this amazing location. With the sea glistening and beautiful views of The Atlantic, North Devon Coastline and Lundy Island, waking up in this property is a real treat. This cottage is amazingly situated with coastal walks on your doorstep. It is very well thought out and the history makes it special. It is very much weather dependant how active your holiday is. Unfortunately we got gale force winds and rain which meant we didn't get to do all the exploring we planned and had to venture inland for better weather.

Response on behalf of the Owner; The Southwest coastal areas were hit by Storm Lorenzo during your stay, a complete contrast to the sunshine of the previous week. I’m pleased you were still able to relax and thank you for your kind comments.

Best property we have stayed hence we have already rebooked it for next year which says it all. You cannot fault the location or the property itself hence the rating given. We were so fortunate with the weather and thoroughly enjoyed the glorious sunsets and dark skies. There are many local walks and attractions so need to take the car to most of them which was a real bonus. The pub at Hartland Quay provides a good wholesome lunch catering for most dietary requirements and the Pop In in Hartland stocks the basics should you require milk etc. Thanks to Lynda for the good communication throughout our stay and of course the sponge.

A lovely, well equipped home in a breathtaking location with panoramic view of the sun setting over the ocean from the living room. Good walking from your doorstep. Nice local pub within easy walking distance (provided you are ok with hills!). Would recommend to a friend

Our second visit to Rocket House and hopefully not our last. It’s location for us is perfect - semi-isolated and a good walk away from the nearest pub. The house is very comfortable, with everything you need for a great, relaxing holiday. The views from the house are breathtaking. Perfect in every way.

Highly recommended outstanding quality one off holiday house in a stunning location! The Rocket House is beautiful, the layout & comfort & decor, attention to detail, cleanliness and thoughtful personal care of the owner is first rate. If you love Panasonic views, amazing sunsets, peace and quiet, being on a cliff top setting, with SW coastal path, coastal scenery and walks, this is the place for you! Very steep walk to rocky Hartland Quay below, which is spectacular, but not really accessible for young ones - instead trip in car to nearby NT Sandymouth Bay was top favourite family beach setting.

This is a wonderful holiday house-home from home. Designed, furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard with the windows positioned to maximise the views. We appreciated meeting the owner on arrival (and her lemon cake) and departure. The unusually wet June allowed us to enjoy the house even more, especially the log fire. For a holiday away from the crowds this is the place to be.
