The cottage is located alongside other barn conversions in a very quiet location. The property was clean and tidy, there was plenty of crockery, glassware etc and a cupboard full of spices. We found the sitting room a bit cool, but it heated up once the stove was lit. The kitchen is upstairs, so if you want to eat in the sitting room (dining table at one end) you would need to carry food down the stairs. We only did this once and ate the rest of our meals in the kitchen. The upstairs bathroom doesn't have a shower, which is a shame. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, the owner communicated with us in advance, and the property was as described.

Response on behalf of the owner; Just to be clear, this review implies a real need to carry food downstairs in order to eat in the sitting room. That is simply not the case, the house has a very large kitchen dining room with a proper dining table which easily accommodates eight. In my view it is the best room in the house and we certainly wouldn't want to eat anywhere else. The sitting room table is equally large but is not intended to be a dining table unless perhaps you have a barbie outside and have the french doors open in summer - though there is also another large table outside for this and is really somewhere to relax, play board games or do a jig saw.
