Beautiful location and lovely place, albeit the kitchen is a little under equipped; a few pint glasses, a cafetiere and slightly better selection of cookware wouldn't go amiss along with checking the few appliances provided are actually working (one of the toaster elements wasn't working when we went to use it). However, our weekend was spoiled by being effectively told off for having my sister and nephew pop by for half an hour in the garden to drop off my birthday present due to the original plans we had to go to them being scuppered. Not sure what the problem was in having them visit there for a short time as they clearly weren't staying and had long gone when the owner came over hours later to tell us no children were allowed. The other thing that has put us off booking this place in future is the extra charge for electricity and hot water we had to pay in cash on arrival. I would expect these to be included in the cost of the rental, particularly with how much it costs per night. If the electricity bill is that much of an issue may i suggest you change out the energy hungry halogen bulbs we saw in all the light fittings for much more energy efficient led equivalents, this would at least halve the energy consumption from the lighting alone.
