Situated in a leafy hamlet, mid-way between Padstow and Fowey, this property is perfect for exploring the two coasts and the county of Cornwall.

Tremodrett House Barn is a stunning two-bedroom barn conversion and offers first floor, open plan living accommodation with vaulted roof and beams, and is flooded with light. It also features a Juliet balcony opening on to the rear courtyard. The living room is furnished with Laura Ashley sofas and stylish oak dining furniture. Sophie Conran china compliments the well-equipped kitchen. On the ground floor, the double bedroom boasts an oak four poster bed, and also gives access to the courtyard where you can enjoy a morning coffee. The spacious twin bedroom, suitable for adults or children, has a sloping roof reaching into the eaves. The beds in both bedrooms have crisp white bed linen and goose-down duvets.
Situated on a small private estate with adjacent barns, it is surrounded by fields and open countryside. Set in a leafy hamlet only 1 mile from the A30 main road, it is an ideal base for travelling around Cornwall and exploring the north and south coasts.
Perfectly situated to enjoy the benefits of Cornwall, this converted barn provides an ideal base to explore the county. Cycling and walking on the official Clay Trails within the area is a must, where you can explore the area and even reach the world famous Eden Project. St Austell with its leisure centre is 5 miles away, as is the village of Charlestown, home to tall ships and a ship wreck heritage museum, which houses artefacts from the Titanic.
To the north of the property the fishing village of Padstow, with its numerous restaurants, is easily accessible. Also available is bike hire, where guests can cycle the famous Camel Trail, fishing trips and diving. Newquay with its excellent surfing beaches is 12 miles away.
On the south coast, the ancient fishing port of Fowey is within 10 miles and was the home to Daphne Du Maurier. Fowey has many events throughout the year, such as the Du Maurier festival and the Fowey Royal Regatta. It is also home to many galleries, pubs, restaurants and shops. Sea fishing, sailing and diving trips are available locally. Bodmin Moor is also close by and provides an excellent location for horse riding, walking and mountain biking. The beautiful house of Lanhydrock is easily reached and with its stunning woodland walks, off road walking, cycling trails and the local golf club, it really is a great day out for all. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Restormel Castle and Crealy Great Adventure Park are all within an easy drive. Beach 7 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub 1½ mile and restaurant 2 miles.

The 2 of us stayed for 2 weeks in this property. Very comfortable with a great upstairs living area. 5 large Velux windows make the room bright and airy and a great place to relax in the evenings after a day out. My only minor criticism would be that, although is was really nice to have 2 sofas they are a bit low - but we are both 70+ and I am sure they would have been fine were we a bit younger. The beds were probably the most comfortable we have had in a holiday let and (unusually) we slept well from the first night. The location was perfect, between Truro and Bodmin. Whilst the property is remotely situated it is less than 10 minutes from the A30 and a service area and not much further from the village of Roche. Between them they provide all your shopping needs (and a Costa) if you don't want to venture any further. The directions to the property provided were also probably the best we have ever had and we found it without a problem. The single track roads with high banks either side may at first seem daunting to those not used to country driving but there was little traffic (we only met 2 or 3 cars coming in the opposite direction during our stay) and there are plenty of passing places. We would certainly recommend a holiday at Tremodrett House Barn.
