This Grade ll listed property is ideal for a family wishing to discover North Norfolk, the coast and Broads with lots for everyone.

Trentham Cottage is a Grade ll listed, light and airy holiday property. One of a pair, it sits within the peaceful seaside village of Snettisham, close to some of the most beautiful coastline that Norfolk has to offer. Snettisham has a huge amount of individual character and offers the opportunity to undertake a unique deer safari. It also has a lovely natural and unspoilt beach offering open sea views and glorious sunsets. Just a few miles along the coast, Hunstanton provides all the fun of the fair, a Sealife Centre, Norfolk Lavender, traditional amusements, and a beautiful sandy beach from which you can take a boat tour out to see the seals. Travel a little further and discover pretty villages that wind along the coastline and yield picturesque salt marshes and glorious beaches, along with numerous places to enjoy a meal or to potter around boutique shops. Wells-next-the-Sea, with its picturesque quay, narrow gauge railway and mix of traditional and artisan shops, is well worth a visit. Birdwatchers will be spoilt for choice with Snettisham, Titchwell and Holkham within easy reach, and Blakeney, Cley and Welney just a little further afield. The Hanseatic town of Kings Lynn is also worth visiting and there are guided walking tours available around the old quarter. The coastline offers bracing and picturesque walks and the area also offers some good cycling routes and is home to lots of National Trust properties and Stately Homes, including The Sandringham Estate and Holkham Hall. When it comes to deciding what to visit next, relaxing Trentham Cottage provides the perfect environment to unwind and plan your next adventure, perhaps while enjoying dinner al fresco in the private, patio garden. Beach 1 mile. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

I have used self catering accommodation for many years. Trentham Cottage is as good as it gets. I would recommend it without any reservations.

Excellent accommodation with all amenities. Some slight niggles associated with the electronics. Could not get WiFi connection after the first day though system said connected but no internet. Could not get the Humax Freesat system to work. Could get up home screen but could not get it to display TV picture. Ended up using TV directly but this was very iffy on some channels for the last couple of days. Just little niggles, the property itself is very good

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We were sorry to learn that the visitor had a difficulty with the Humax box and WiFi router. Unfortunately he did not tell us about it. What a pity. All that was required was a reboot: just a simple power down and switch on again. We hope this will be of help to others who may find themselves in a similar situation. We always urge our visitors to let us know at the time if anything is amiss.

Lovely cottage - loads of space for the four of us (two adults and two children) centrally located in a really pretty village just around the corner from a decent local supermarket. Great base to explore the coast and countryside. We went to Wells Next the Sea, Hunstanton and Cromer and we also enjoyed some long walks straight from the cottage. We also went to the RSPB reserve which was lovely. We've been on plenty of cottage holidays over the years but I don't think I've ever been to one as well equipped as this one - more like a real home than a holiday home. The boxes of maps and walks were a fabulous touch - lucky too as we'd left our OS map at home. Lovely pub round the corner too. All in all a lovely week away.

Lots of thoughtful touches and generous with supplies eg tissues and loo roll. Warm and welcoming. Very quiet though in the centre of the village.
