Popular places of interest within easy driving distance include Hever Castle in Chartwell, Churchill’s favourite former home, homes and gardens including Standen, Penshurst Place, Wakehurst, Borde Hill, as well as Chiddingstone Castle, Sheffield Park, and Borde Hill. Also worth visiting are the British Wildlife Centre, Godstone Farm, Staffhurst Wood Nature Reserve, Ashdown Forest and The Llama Park. The Spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is also a short drive away, as is The Bluebell Steam Railway.
It is only 5 minutes’ drive to the mainline station with regular trains to London taking 25 minutes, where there is so much to see and do – including Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, Big Ben, The British Museum, Tower Bridge, The London Dungeons, river tours, theatres and much more!
