Beck Hole is located deep in the valley with the holiday cottage overlooking the village just a short stroll from the local pub. Stunning valleys and sweeping hillside views can be enjoyed from the idyllic location of the cottage. Cycle tracks, bridle paths and walkways abound from the doorstep with quaint little villages popping up when you least expect it.It is just one mile from the well-known village of Goathland best known for its connections with Heartbeat, indeed Hill Farm in which Valley View sits was used for many of the film shoots. The village green is lined with quaint curio shops, inns and tea rooms serving some of Yorkshire’s finest cuisine. You can board the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train here and take a memorable journey through the glorious Esk Valley as it steams its way across the valleys into the historic market town of Pickering. The ancient sea port of Whitby is just a short drive over the moors, eight miles, a colourful harbour leads to the three mile stretch of sandy beach overlooked and almost protected by the ancient abbey ruins and St Mary’s church. The brave (and fit) can take the 199 steps up to the abbey ruins where panoramic views over Whitby across to Sandsend can be enjoyed. Explore the smugglers coves of Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes or visit the more elegant seaside resort of Scarborough, Britain’s first ever seaside resort.
