This well-presented modern barn conversion is perfect for a luxurious family escape to the south west, where there is something for everyone.

Quintessentially English. This is the only way to describe this trio of holiday cottages. The charm of the outside is again reflected in the well-appointed and beautifully presented interior. Stone Barn (ref UKC3594) is a converted barn sleeping up to 6 guests and has been beautifully restored with two bedrooms downstairs, whilst the living room, dining room (with extendable dining table), kitchen, one bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, where you can enjoy the views. It also boasts a hot tub and an enclosed garden. Pilgrim Corner (ref EWQ) has four themed en-suite bedrooms (one bedroom is cosy), and an enclosed private garden complete with hot tub (bring your own towels). No corners have been cut to ensure guests have the best of everything during their stay. A tumble dryer is even provided for you to dry your own towels after using the hot tub. The Old Sweet Shop (ref UKC3164) has been sympathetically restored to maximise the cottage’s space, light and historical features. These include thick stone walls, a fabulous fireplace that now houses a large wood burner, exposed beams, a semi-circular staircase and leaded-light windows. They sit perfectly alongside the high quality fabrics and furnishings, kitchen with large dining table and modern appliances to offer guests every comfort. The Old Sweet Shop is suitable for families with children and groups of adults. Your four-legged friends are also more than welcome. The cottage also benefits from a sunny enclosed garden with lawn and seating area, and a large hot tub, just perfect for a relaxing soak after exploring this beautiful part of the world.
The convenient location means Minehead town centre and its sandy beach are within walking distance whilst the dramatic coast and moorland countryside is all a short drive away. There is a station within walking distance so guests can enjoy the steam trains of the West Somerset Railway. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on the moors, and many places to visit to make a memorable holiday. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge, National Trust, Valley of the Rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Looking towards Minehead there is the promenade to enjoy a walk and an ice cream, as well as having a good array of shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants and other amenities. A visit to the enchanting medieval Dunster Castle (National Trust), with its beautiful terraced gardens, deer park and mill will make for an interesting day out. Porlock and Porlock Weir hold plenty of charm and interest to those who visit the area. Beach within 1 mile. Shops, pub and restaurant 800 yards.

Had a lovely stay for my mum's 60th birthday. The little extra touches Lucy did really made it special. Sadly our stay had to be cut short due to medical reasons. We would hope to return again.

A beautiful place to stay. Very clean and modern with a space age kitchen. The hot tub in an evening is a lovely place to relax with friends and a drink after visiting the great local villages. I’d recommend a steam train ride into Watchet for fossil hunting and a walk along the mineral line to catch the train back from the next station on the line.
