West Lodge is a beautiful, contemporary, three bedroom detached property sitting in an enviable position just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Bakewell and in the very heart of the majestic Peak District National Park. It’s set over two floors with a superb open plan kitchen/dining room, a light and spacious living room, three double bedrooms and a family bathroom.
To the outside of the property you’ll find to the side a large stone flagged terrace with comfortable seating, and to the rear, stone steps take you to a further stone flagged seating terrace, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine.
Bakewell is a lively, thriving market town which provides the perfect base for a whole host of activities including walking and cycling. There are many historic country houses nearby, such as Haddon Hall, Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall. Steeped in history, this market town is filled with character offering a great range of bistros, pubs, tea rooms, shops, gardens and parks to enjoy. You can visit the local farmers’ market and a number of fabulous festivals throughout the year.
Close by is the Monsal Trail which starts in Bakewell and leads to the outskirts of Buxton. Alternatively, why not explore the beautiful Hope Valley in Matlock, which hosts the wonderful Heights of Abraham with cable cars taking you to the most spectacular views and caves?
