great barn in a great location if you like walking, equally good for getting to other points of interest in the area. aldburgh, southwold, woodbridge, thorpeness and snape are all great places to visit. the barn itself is warm and cosy in the colder months but has a dog friendly garden which is so peaceful in the finer months. it is beautifully clean and it fully equipped with what you might need while on holiday. the local pub is a short walk which serves good food. we always enjoy our visits as it allows us to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Jeanie and anne are great hosts and you are welcomed but they are not intrusive at all. a bottle of fizz and a home made cake is always waiting for you on arrival.

Our second visit here and just as enjoyable as the first. Jeannie and Anne are very helpful and friendly and there was a delicious cake and bottle of fizz waiting for us. Friston is a very small village but Saxmundham is near and has Tesco and Waitrose. Aldeburgh, on the coast, is near as well and you can get delicious gelato there. If you want fun fairs etc this is probably not for you but for a peaceful, relaxing holiday it is perfect.

We had a great stay in Buffs Old Barn. Jeannie and Anne made us feel very welcome and are truly inspirational ladies, a lovely homemade cake and bottle of fizz to welcome us too. We were also lucky enough to be there when Anne extracted her honey so got a lovely surprise jar of her very own honey! Very comfortable barn with a great garden and lovely views which is perfect for both wheelchair users and dog owners, not easy to find both. Fab location too with lots to see and do. A true home from home and we thank Jeannie and Anne for sharing their wonderful farm with us xx

A warm welcome form the owner and the bottle of fizz was a nice touch. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and well equipped cottage. Situated in a very quiet location and has the added bonus of nice country walks from the cottage. Would highly recommend for those who want a nice relaxing and peaceful break.

always a warm welcome at woodside barn by the lovely owners jeannie and ann. the barn is beautifully kept - it is warm, cosy, clean and comfortable. the showers run hot, the beds are clean and comfortable, the sitting room is cosy and comfy. the location is ideal for some peace and quiet but is easily accessible to aldburgh, thorpeness, southwold, etc. garden is secure for pets but has beautiful views to the surrounding countryside. i suppose this is the reason we visit so often.

The barn conversion was immaculate .The owner welcomed us with a beautiful home baked cake and suggested outings for us when asked. She re-arranged the bedroom furniture for my disabled daughter and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation had everything you could possibly need, including, joy of joys, a tea cosy! Lots of space inside and out, rabbits and birds and some lovely places to explore within a very short distance of the house.
