There is also a train station linking you to Cheltenham or London Paddington in just 75-minutes, so you can always leave the car at home and enjoy exploring this area by train or on foot. Just over a mile is Cotswold’s airport, which is used for aviation businesses and events, and you can even watch the runway activity from the on-site restaurant.
With the Cotswold Water Park consisting of approximately 150 lakes around 3 miles away, you can enjoy a range of family activities from watersports and wildlife spotting, to fishing and many scenic walks. There’s even a beach! Nearby Cirencester is full of interesting buildings spanning several centuries and hosts farmers markets, antiques and craft markets. A visit to Cirencester Park is a must to see one of the finest examples of geometric landscaping in the country and hosts many events, including the family friendly Cotswold Show, and is home to the oldest polo playing ground in the UK.
Also close by is Cheltenham, famous for it Gold Cup horse racing, Badminton for the horse trials, Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate and Westonbirt Arboretum.
